Meet the director
Miss Rebecca began her training at Philadelphia Civic Ballet under the guidance of two brilliant teachers, Marion Tonner and Carla Craig Krochak. She supplemented her training attending classes and summer programs including Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet, Philadanco, and The Rock School. Miss Rebecca attended University of the Arts under the direction of Susan Glazer. There she had the wonderful opportunity to study in a conservatory environment and earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts. Miss Rebecca will always consider her education one of her most valuable assets and is always grateful for the opportunity to have studied under a faculty that was truly unmatched. Rebecca has taken classes at San Francisco Ballet, Steps, Koresh, and Broadway Dance Center.
Miss Rebecca's professional credits include Landini DanceCo and Dance 1. She has performed in the Glue performance series and Ect performance series as well as the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. She has appeared on Good Day Philadelphia and has done commercial work for Journeys and Calvin Klien. She has enjoyed opportunities to combine her love of dance with civic engagement and community service. Miss Rebecca choreographed and performed work for The Festival of First Fruits, a charity event to combat hunger. From 2009 to 2019 she served as Artistic Director of Doylestown Dance Center Ballet Company.
Miss Rebecca has been teaching dance for over twenty years. She has taught at reputable studios as well as Creative and Performing Arts High School. Many of her students have gone on to have successful dance careers. Her philosophy is that the study of dance should enhance the growth and education of the student. Dance is not just an enjoyable activity but also an intellectual , athletic and artistic pursuit. A quality dance education promotes critical thinking, communication skills, self discipline, confidence and physical health.
